Nuance, France

Il est une Legende. 1982 FLVM

Nuance's debut is one of the most interesting albums on the private do-it-yourself FLVM label. If viewing the cover for the first time, you could be forgiven for thinking it was an old NWOBHM album. And despite the fact it did indeed come out in 1982, not only is this not metal in the slightest, but the keyboards sound more like something from the mid 1960s! Overall this is a solid progressive rock album with French vocals, and one that fits squarely with others of its ilk like Synopsis, Orion, Grime, and Pentacle. The guitarist adds in a raw psychedelic edge, which I find highly appealing. Definitely an anachronistic sound for 1982.

Nuance have three later albums that I haven't heard.

Priority: 2

Anon,

I happen to own the LP myself (bought it years ago), and listened to it last night for an update. Nuance was part of my original wish list as far back as 2003. I've owned the album since 1993.

There are a couple of ways I can prove this. How would you like me to do so?

Dear Tom,

Kindly forgive my treachery & any implications of authenticity. in playful reply, might i suggest you rip the album to high quality mp3 [320 is good], compress it in a zip file & upload it to megaupload or another free file hosting service for us? :))))

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for the kind response back. Unfortunately I do not have the time to rip the album.

I will just add that this is an album you will want to buy. I do not think you will be disappointed if you're a fan of French progressive rock.

The current price of that auction is $25. That is a steal in my opinion. If I did not already own it, I would buy it in a heartbeat

Good luck!
