Hi Tom, thanks a lot for the additional info! Very interesting that it was a Utah band, as that's not really where you'd expect to look for something like this. "Hard hitting mid 70s jazz-rock" is definitely my thing, so I'll be on the lookout for sure. Tell your friend mike I said thanks as well!

Speaking of ultra obscure US jazz-rock/prog, have you ever heard of a band called Seacloud? They were from Arizona, but unfortunately it seems they only released a couple of obscure singles and a compilation track, all around 1977-1978. Their first single (or maybe it was just a demo) was very much in the "complex midwest prog" style, but their second one is great jazz rock with a long track called "Caribbean Mystical Tour". But their best work was a track from a local radio station compilation LP, an awesome piece of Canterbury style fusion. This would be a great group to dig up for an archival release.

Hi Rob, I haven't heard Seacloud. That sounds great! I do think the US is largely untapped for archive releases - at least from the progressive rock era. We need a Long Hair or Garden of Delights here in America!
